They really need to take a break, LIB was obviously a beautiful remake and every scene shows that lots of hardwork, thoughts and brains were put into it and it just wasn't about putting a movie out to make money, I think right now it's just about making money for them, it's just like a regular upcoming Nigerian artist that takes his time to make good music, finally we here him, he gets the love of the people, the next thing we get is trash of a music, buh we still listen cuz why not? He has gotten our love, they really need to be calming down and try as hard to make going to the cinema to see their movie worthwhile and something to look forward to.
I honestly believe that Charles and his team need to take a breather. Take a couple of years maybe four and just reassess the entire strategy and plan.
How many more remakes can one make? Sometimes movies are considered classics for a reason. They owe us the viewers a duty of care to n ruin precious childhood memories with their shoddy remakes. The moment I saw Idia as the lead in Nneka the pretty serpent my first response was...”is she an actress?”. They need to foster creativity and stop mooching off old scripts.
